it's getting hot in here...

Went to my first session of Bikram yoga last night... WOW is it hard work or what?! Seriously, if you think it's all meditation and calm soothing poses think again! I felt hot, sweaty, sick and dizzy all in the space of 90minutes and very hot room.

Fingers crossed the next one will be better and I will then be the proud owner of a body that can happily wear this...

(my newest purchase - love it!) To be honest I have worn it already regardless - eek watch out Bristol until I am fully in shape! Until then I am wearing it strictly with long maxi skirts - not brave enough for shorts yet... plus I'd freeeeeeeze!

tattoo inspiration...

Been contemplating another tattoo for a while now... I think I know what I want and where I want it but just need to get together the money and the courage to do it. I would do it tomorrow (if I was brave enough to spend some hard-earned travelling funds on it) but for the placing... I''ve been told that one of the most painful places to get ink forced into your skin through a needle is the ribs and unfortunately that is the only place that I want my next one. Ouch.

This is what I want (have always loved Klimt)

- something along those lines anyway - and this is the kind of place I want it. Let me know what you think...

(Side note - how hot is Erin Wasson too?!)

did someone say SALE...?!

OK, for my own good I should not be telling anyone about this as the less people who know the more chance I have in bagging something amazing next Friday but what the hell!

Get your pretty little selves down to The Outnet and register for their special birthday party invite before this Friday and you will be part of one of the most exciting sales to hit the internet, allowing us mere mortals to get our hands on some top designer wares for £1 YES £1!!! Sale will start at somepoint on Friday the 16th but only those registered will find out the time and be in with a huge chance at owning something spectacular at a ridiculous price.

putting on a show

When I heard about Maaike Mekking's presentation for her A/W 10-11 collection it all seemed so different and interesting that I had to read up on it in more detail. 'Witch-Craft-Wo-Man-Ship' sounded like a truly surreal and special experience for those who had the pleasure to view it - one lone model trying on each piece in a makeshift bedroom in a transfixing show. This ethereal performance perfectly showcased the extremely wearable, variably textured and vintage film-inspired collection in a unique and interesting way - fair play to the designer for her gorgeous garments and equally individual idea for a presentation.

Visit her blog here to see more thoughts, inspirations and to keep updated with everything Mekking.

sheer delight

All this promise of soon-to-be spring had me looking about for something to wear once we get there... Found this beauty of a dress in my favourite vintage shop in Bristol (I can NEVER go in there without finding something to spend money on!)

Think this used to have another sheer insert inside originally but I love it completely sheer, perfect for summer festivals... orrrr just for dossing about everyday...!

Will try to get a full length picture of it on its first outing! Will be perfect with a silky nude slip or body-con top and cycling shorts underneath...

juliana neufeld

Just discovered this rather talented lady's artwork. Love the carefree attitude with which she creates inspiring images and the dreamy colours with which she conveys them... This Canadian artist trained as a photographer but her mixed media and illustration work shows her as much more than this.

Beautiful work - to check it out, look here and to see more of the same, including an insight into the inspiration for these wonderful works, visit her blog here.

springing into spring!

Ahhh all of this sun in the past few days makes me wanna...

Dreaming of warm spring days spent frolicking in fields, whimsical walks, staying out late and not having to wear a coat, eating outside... Thoughts are turning to travelling and festivals in the summer and total freedom (for a while at least)
